This service is designed for customers who have artwork ready for print but need assistance with pagination and file setup for printing.
Available on the File Check service, customers who upload a file and encounter a page count error will be offered the free File Assist upgrade.
Customers also have the option to make the necessary adjustments to their artwork themselves, if preferred.
Please note: If you need additional artwork adjustments, such as resizing, adding page numbers, or inserting images, you will need to select the full File Assist option during the product page process.
If you require artwork to be created for your print, then choose the Design service when ordering.
Saddle Stitch Booklet File Requirements
We need your saddle stitch booklet print file set up with all pages in consecutive order, with page 1 being the front cover and the last page being the back cover. However, the files you receive from your designer or incorrect settings in your software may not be suitable for printing.

- PDFs with pages supplied as spreads
- PDFs with cover and back cover set up as a spread
- PDFs with individual pages
- Printers pairs
- Exporting from native files
Placing Your Order:
Please note: Upgrading to the Free File Assist option will extend your delivery turnaround by one extra day. Please consider this when choosing to upgrade.

When placing your order, input the specifications for the booklet you would like printed. And choose the artwork service you wish.
For customers looking to have a little reassurance, choose the File Check service.
Upload Your Files:
- If you choose our File Check service, proceed to the upload stage to submit your files.

When you upload your booklet PDF, the system will alert you if the page count is incorrect.
The Free File Assist option will be offered at the bottom of the screen. Add this option if you wish for one of our Pre Press team to help you set you your artwork for print.
Your order will be upgraded to File Assist free of charge.
Payment and Service:
Continue to payment and send us your file. We will check your document and correct the pagination to ensure it is right for printing. We aim to complete this fix within 24 hours.
Digital Proof:
We will take your PDF file and rearrange the pages into the correct order for printing. A low resolution digital proof will be emailed to you for approval before we send your artwork off to print.
