To ensure your packaging pouch is printed correctly, we require two artwork files. Follow these simple steps to prepare your artwork correctly.
Quick Glance
- Artwork Layer: Name it “Artwork” and ensure it contains the CMYK design for print.
- Bleed: Add 10mm bleed on the top, left, and right edges.
- Safe Zone: Keep important elements at least 7mm from the trim edge.
- File Format: Supply as a CMYK PDF, ideally in PDF/X-1a format.
- Fonts: Outline or embed all fonts.
- Resolution: Ensure artwork is 300dpi for sharp printing.
- White Underpin (if needed): For transparent materials, create a spot colour named "White" (case-sensitive).
Download Our Template
Head to the Packaging Pouch pouch. After selecting your pouch specifications, download the correct template from our product page.
The template ensures your design is correctly positioned for printing.
Add Your Design
If you've already created your design, copy and paste it onto the template.
Send the artwork to the back so that the template guidelines remain visible on top of your design. Name the layer that your artwork lives on as 'Artwork'.
Adjust Your Artwork
Pay attention to the bleed area, safe zone, and any additional features (such as a hanging hole or zip seal).
Ensure that important elements like logos and text stay within the safe zone to avoid being misprinted.
Export Two Files
We require two versions of your artwork for printing:
One with the template overlaid – This helps us check the positioning.
One without the template – This is the file we print from.
Tip: Name your files clearly, such as:
- Pouch_Artwork_WithTemplate.pdf
- Pouch_Artwork_PrintReady.pdf
