Orientation

Artboard 13-1

When rotating your double-sided artwork for printing, our system flips the page from left to right. This is standard for all artwork processing, so it’s important to keep this in mind when you're supplying artwork.

For example, if you're printing flat work and want the artwork to appear right side up on both sides of the print, please ensure your file's content (text, logos, images) and the page format in the same orientation:

If you provide artwork with a mismatch between the content and the page orientation, such as portrait files with landscape content, or vice versa, the reverse side will print upside down:

To remedy this on occasions where this is not possible (i.e., in the Online Designer) one of the pages can be flipped 180° degrees.

Please note: for orders placed via our Just Print service, no orientation checks are performed. If you supply your artwork in the incorrect orientation, it will be printed as is.

Folded Cards

A common issue we see is with landscape folded tent cards. Since our system flips from left to right, the inside page needs to be rotated 180 degrees for it to align correctly with the outer side.

If the inside pages are submitted in matching orientations, the inside will print upside down compared to the outside pages, meaning the message will be displayed incorrectly when the card is opened.

For standard cards that open side-bound, the orientation of the inside pages must match the outer pages.

We always recommend that you use our free artwork templates to help create your artwork for print. If you follow the templates, then your design will print correctly.
