Pen Printing - Single Colour | Full Colour | Laser Engraved
To ensure your design prints at its best, it’s important to understand the differences between each print method and prepare your artwork accordingly.
Single Colour Print
Single colour printing involves applying one solid ink colour to your design. You’ll select your preferred print colour during the ordering process, and this will be used consistently across your chosen pens.
Best For:
- Strong logos, bold text, simplified graphics
Artwork Tips:
- Avoid fine details or small text – the small print area means delicate features may flood or blur
- Use bold fonts and simplified graphics for maximum legibility
- Upload vector artwork only to ensure sharp, clean lines
- Rasterised artwork will be image traced, but can reduce clarity and may not produce the desired result. It will still be printed as supplied

Full Colour Print
Full colour printing uses CMYK ink technology to accurately reproduce your design in multiple colours. This method is ideal for printing detailed, vibrant graphics directly onto your pen.
Best For:
- Multi-colour logos, and text.
Artwork Tips:
- Avoid fine lines or delicate designs – details can blur when ink spreads slightly
- Fonts must be at least 8pt – small text can become unreadable
- Do not upload low-resolution images or graphics with gradients – they may print poorly
- Allow space between design elements to prevent them merging during transfer
Laser Engraving
A precision laser is used to engrave your design directly into the surface of the material, producing a sharp, high-quality finish. This ink-free process delivers a durable and long-lasting result with a premium look and feel.
Best For:
- Executive gifts, luxury branding, long-term use
Artwork Guidelines:
- Avoid fine lines or intricate details – they may not engrave clearly
- Do not upload low-resolution images or gradient-based designs
- Fonts must be at least 8pt for readability
- Keep spacing between design elements to avoid merging, as the engraving process can soften edges
