What Does Impression Mean In The Printing World?
One impression is one press sheet passing once through a printing unit. To print in a single colour (monochrome), one impression is enough to complete the image. However, two or more impressions are needed for multi-colour printing, one for each colour.
Using our lithography presses, we use CMYK ink, and therefore 4 impressions (Cyan, magenta, yellow and black) are needed to create your design.
