What is coated paper?

What's Coated Paper

Coated paper is a paper used in print that has been treated with a coating so that it appears glossy or silky.  Coated papers are very popular in brochures, leaflets and flyers or any print where a slight sheen is desired. A coated paper can add a little bit of elegance to a print job.

A coating can change the way your images appear, gloss for vibrancy, silk for elegance.

We also use the term “stock” in reference to paper so coated stock simply refers to the different types of paper we use that has been coated for a particular finish.

We aim to use only FSC© certified paper, meaning that it comes from sustainable forestry within Europe.

To find out more about paper and its uses in marketing and packaging, visit Two Sides.  Two Sides is an advocacy group that promote the use of sustainable resources such as paper.

We use FSC certified stocks. Read more about the FSC and our FSC certified stocks here.
