What is the difference between lamination and encapsulation?
lamination we offer, encapsulation we don't
Encapsulation seals the print between two layers of thicker plastic using heat and pressure, leaving a clear sealed border around the edges. This creates a fully waterproof finish and provides greater protection and durability. Currently unavailable on our website.
Lamination applies a much thinner plastic film that is trimmed flush to the edge of the paper. It protects the print from scratches, handling and minor spills, but does not make it completely waterproof. We offer lamination on many products.
