What is Wire Binding?

Wire Bound Books and Booklets

Wire binding is exactly as it sounds; it’s a form of binding where a continuous series of wire loops are run through punched slots along one side of a booklet.

You will commonly see notebooks and presentations bound with wire.  This is a sturdy way to bind anything that needs to lay flat when opened such as a planner or diary or “To do” list.

You may also hear the term spiral binding, but this is usually done with plastic as opposed to wire.
