Has Premium Smooth White Uncoated paper changed its name?
Yes, you'll now see this as just "paper weight + uncoated" for example, "90gsm Uncoated"
Change of Paper Name: “Premium Smooth White Uncoated” To “Uncoated”
To make our product range easier to navigate and more consistent across all categories, we’ve updated the name of one of our paper stocks. “Premium Smooth White Uncoated” is now called “Uncoated” prefixed by paper weight.
This is a naming change only; the paper stock itself has not changed in quality, appearance, or performance.
What’s Changed?
Old name:
- Premium Smooth White Uncoated
New name:
- Uncoated and the weight in gsm. You’ll see the paper weight next to this, for example “90g uncoated” this brings it in line with many of our other uncoated stocks that you will be familiar with across the site.
Why the change?
- Consistency: Many of our uncoated options are simply called “uncoated” with the weight next to them, we felt that bringing this change would make things simpler at a glance.
- Clarity: “Uncoated” is widely recognised across the print industry and more intuitive for users comparing finishes.
- Simplified Experience: Shorter, clearer terminology helps customers choose the right paper more easily, especially on mobile devices or during quick reorders.
What Hasn’t Changed
Although the name is shorter, everything you expect from this stock remains the same:
- The same high-quality, smooth uncoated finish
- The same bright white appearance
- The same print performance and durability
- The same weight options
- The same pricing and turnaround times
There is absolutely no change to the physical product; only the name has been simplified.
Where You’ll See the Updated Name
You’ll now see Uncoated prefixed by paper weight listed across multiple products. This ensures a unified experience.
Will This Affect Previous Orders?
No. Your past orders that used "Premium Smooth White Uncoated" are identical to the new “Uncoated” named substrate
Reordering will be seamless too, simply choose your specified uncoated weight as the paper option.
