Our File Check Service Is Now FREE

We understand how important it is to get your print file perfect to get the best results.  In the past, we have had an additional artwork service that allows you peace of mind but it came at a cost.  We have now waived that £2.50 check so you can upload your file and get 60 artwork checks performed at no cost. 

In a nutshell, this is what you need to know: 

  • File Check is now free  
  • It includes an instant proof  
  • We have sped up the process so it is now 1 day faster   
  • The free file check provides 60 online checks (40 core + 20 quality)  
  • Multiple file types are supported (PDF, JPEG, TIFF, EPS, SVG)

What are the 60 point checks included on the File Check service?  

With our File Check service, your artwork undergoes thorough checks to ensure it meets our high standards for the best possible print quality.  

Beyond the automated 60-point inspection completed during upload.  

Additional 20+ Point Checks Include:  

  • Checking for low-resolution images.  
  • Ensuring objects are within the safe zone.  
  • Verifying pages are in the correct order.  
  • Checking for missing elements.  
  • Reviewing creep.  
  • Inspecting the spine of booklets.  
  • Applying the inner white spine area on perfect bound  
  • Checking slug and wrap-around for hardback books.  
  • Ensuring the template fits jobs requiring a template overlay.  
  • Verifying orientation.  
  • Checking SRA alignment.  
  • Confirming Spot UV alignment and order.  
  • Verifying panel sizes on folded jobs.  
  • Combining or splitting PDFs as needed.  
  • Duplicating artwork on both sides if necessary.  
  • Adjusting templates for cut-to-shape designs.  
  • Ensuring the artwork matches the product.  
  • Comparing folding artwork to the ordered fold.  
  • Conducting extra finishing checks (e.g., foiling, eyelets, perforations).  
  • Converting CMYK into spot colours where appropriate.  

These are the initial 40-point checks we perform on your artwork file 

 

Our aim is for you to never get stuck when uploading a file for print.  However, If you do still have concerns about your file or require some assistance you can upgrade to File Assist after the checks have been made.  Your file will then be personally reviewed and fixed by our PrePress team for £5.  

Important to note - Most checks are completed instantly online, but some complex checks are carried out by our PrePress team in the background to ensure your file is print-ready. You’ll still need to carefully review and approve your proof before we go to print.
